Dear Students and Parents:

As the proud principal, I would like to welcome you to the 2018-19 school year at Los Fresnos High School.

We are eager to welcome our students back into the classrooms and hallways where they will be met with an enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning. Our mission at Los Fresnos High School is to prepare and empower students to realize their dreams, goals and fullest potential. Our goal is for students to challenge themselves to grow in their academic abilities and to be college and career ready to be successful in the postsecondary route of their choosing. Students are the focus of great teaching and our teachers work hard to prepare rigorous and relevant lessons to maximize student growth all academic areas. Through the hard work of our staff, we are at all-time highs in the number of AP Scholars, National Hispanic Merit Scholars, number of students earning dual credit hours for college, and industry-standard certifications.

To Students: Get involved! There is a proud tradition of excellence at LFHS. From strong athletic teams which are consistently district champions and playoff contenders, to a fine arts program which includes the Mighty Falcon Band, Theatre, award-winning Conjunto, state champion Mariachi, sweepstakes-winning Choir, as well as our district champion UIL Academics. LFHS also has a variety of Career and Technical Education student organizations, as well as various clubs.

To Parents: We hope that you will maintain an open line of communication with the school. We will have up-to-date information about what is happening on the campus on our website and through our campus Remind 101. I encourage you to sign up for the Home Access Center to stay current with the academic progress of your child. If you need help to sign up or what steps you would need, please contact our office at 956-254-5300.

I look forward to the new school year and am truly honored to work with a great combination of parents, students, staff, and community members where the goal is to provide the necessary skills to be productive members of society for the 21st century.
