hello my name is Nicholas naranjo and I'm the president of rotary interact Club here at Los Fresnos High School our goal of project ignition is to increase youth driver awareness and say remember to arrive alive buckle up in the back seat and always buckle up your children what's Fresno's involved in a fatal Collision late last month Department of Transportation Center of Disease Control and prevention motor vehicle crashes are the cause of death among teens in order to prevent this here is three things you need to be aware of friends acquaintance a c y teen car crashes are more likely to happen when there is fences a car if you have friends in your car make sure each is in their respective seats have them what kind of oil to follow Road Rules and not be a distraction and the car you're talkin Wayne whatever so you the driver gets distracted very sick very easily you know I think it does play a major part in in in the district phones the national Safety Council reports that over 6.6 million crashes each year identifying distractions do not pick up your phone while you are driving if it is an emergency make sure you pull over before you answer it when they did that jerk their wheel and actually caused an accident where the killed the people in the other vehicle so cell phones are bad bad bad is one of the most effective ways to save lives and reduce injuries in a car crash in Texas alone nearly 1,000 lives are lost every year due to improper seat belt safety make sure that if you're in a car no matter where you're sitting front or back you buckle up unfortunately feel like they're indestructible in or not Fire & Ems for 30 years and in those 30 years I can only think of one time we're in and I'm sure you've heard it never unbuckled a dead person I can think of one time we've unbuckle to Deadpool in 30 years of seeing accidents do seat belts work we had a fatality accident while ago if the guy that had a seatbelt on and probably would have survived that seat belts save line on behalf of Los Fresnos rotary interact the National Youth Leadership Council and General Motors make sure not to drive distracted buckle up back seat and arrive alive
