Principal’s Message

Dear Students and Parents:

As your proud principal, I would like to welcome you to the 2023-24 school year at Los Fresnos High School.

We are eager to welcome our students back into the classrooms virtually and physically where they will be met with an enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning. Our mission at Los Fresnos High School is to prepare and empower students to discover their dreams, goals, and fullest potentials.  Our goal at Los Fresnos High School is for students to challenge themselves to grow in their academic abilities and to be college and career ready for success in the postsecondary route of their choosing. Students are the focus of great teaching, and our teachers work hard to prepare rigorous and relevant lessons to maximize student growth in all academic areas. Through the hard work of our staff, we are at all-time highs in numbers of AP Scholars, National Hispanic Merit Scholars, as well as the number of students earning Dual Credit hours for college and industry standard certifications.

Students: Get Involved! There is a proud tradition of excellence at LFHS. From strong athletic teams which are consistently district champions and playoff contenders, to our Fine Arts programs which includes our Mighty Falcon Band, Theatre, Award winning Conjunto, State recognized Mariachi, Sweepstakes winning Choir, as well as our district champion UIL Academics. LFHS also has a variety of Career and Technical Education student organizations, as well as various clubs, which compete consistently at region, state, and national levels.

Parents: We hope you will continue to maintain an open line of communication with the school. We will have up-to-date information about what is happening on our campus within our website and through our campus Remind 101. I encourage you to sign up for the Home Access Center to stay current with the academic progress of your child. Please contact our office at 956-254-5300 for more information.

This school year will present challenges and opportunities like no school year before. I am truly honored to work with a great combination of parents, students, staff, and community members where our shared goal is to provide the necessary skills to produce dynamic members of society for the 21st century.  We will work together to achieve success for the students of Los Fresnos High School.

Let us make this 2023-24 school year our best one yet!
