Principal’s Message
Dear Students and Parents:
As your proud principal, I would like to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year at Los Fresnos High School, home of the Mighty Falcons!
We are excited to welcome our students back into the where they will be met with an enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning. Our mission at Los Fresnos High School is to prepare and empower students to discover their dreams, goals, and fullest potentials. Our goal at Los Fresnos High School is for students to challenge themselves to grow in their academic abilities and to be college and career ready for success in the postsecondary route of their choosing. Students are the focus of great teaching, and our teachers work hard to prepare rigorous and relevant lessons to maximize student growth in all academic areas. Through the hard work of our staff, we are at all-time highs in numbers of AP Scholars, College Board Recognition Scholars, the number of students earning Dual Credit hours for college, Associates Degrees, and Industry Based Certifications.
Students: Get Involved! There is a proud tradition of excellence at LFHS. From strong athletic teams which are consistently district champions and playoff contenders, to our Fine Arts programs which includes our Mighty Falcon Band, Theatre, Award winning Conjunto, State recognized Mariachi Nuevo Halcon, NJROTC program, as well as our district champion UIL Academics. LFHS also has a variety of Career and Technical Education student organizations, as well as various clubs, which compete consistently at region, state, and national levels.
Parents: We hope you will continue to maintain an open line of communication with the school. We will have up-to-date information about what is happening on our campus within our website and through our campus Remind 101, where weekly newsletters will be sent. I am truly honored to work with a great combination of parents, students, staff, and community members where our shared goal is to provide the necessary skills to produce strong citizens who will make valuable contributions to our community. We will work together to achieve success for the students of Los Fresnos High School.
