Welcome to Los Fresnos High School NJROTC

Welcome to the Los Fresnos High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC), home of the Crimson Talons. Our mission is to develop confident, disciplined, and responsible young leaders through citizenship, service, leadership, and teamwork.

Our program is built upon the Navy’s Core Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Cadets are expected to demonstrate integrity, accountability, professionalism, and respect while contributing to a positive and inclusive environment. The safety and well-being of our cadets remain our highest priority.

NJROTC provides leadership opportunities both inside and outside the classroom through competitive drill, color guard, physical fitness, academics, community service, and other extracurricular activities. Leadership is not simply taught—it is practiced through responsibility, teamwork, and service to others.

Uniforms, textbooks, and training equipment are provided at no cost. All required enrollment and medical forms must be completed before cadets may participate in off-campus activities or receive issued uniform items.

Important announcements and program information will be shared through this website and ParentSquare.

Thank you for being part of the Crimson Talons. We look forward to working with our cadets

and families as we develop leaders of character who embody Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Welcome aboard!

We are the  CRIMSON TALONS.

We lead with Honor.

We face adversity with Courage.

We fulfill every commitment with integrity.

We respect every person, serve something greater than ourselves, and strive for excellence in everything we do.

We are one team, one standard, and one mission—to develop leaders who make a difference.

The mission of the Los Fresnos Navy JROTC CRIMSON TALON Company is to inspire and develop young men and women of character into confident, disciplined, and service-minded leaders.

We accomplish this by fostering a culture of excellence grounded in Honor, Courage, and Commitment, where every cadet is challenged to lead, serve, and uphold the highest standards of integrity, respect, and personal responsibility.

Our vision is to cultivate a culture of excellence where every cadet is challenged to grow in character, competence, and confidence.

We believe leadership is earned through service, integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to others.
